The eagle is a large bird of prey, with sharp keen vision and powerful wings for flight as well as their strength. 
The eagle has the largest nest of any birds.  They usually build their nests close to water so they can feed their young easily.  They do put some greenery in their nests also.  This is an original oil painting by Ruth Housley. 
 
Hope you enjoy it as much as I enjoyed painting this eagle.  The nest was fun to paint and they do have a large nest for themself and their young.
